AVATAR:
The Way of Water | Fire and Ash
For two and a half years, I worked as a Na’vi Costume Artisan at Wētā Workshop on James Cameron’s Avatar sequels, working within the team bringing Costume Designer Deborah L. Scott’s designs for Pandora to life. The work combined traditional textile and handcraft techniques with experimental material processes to create highly detailed physical costumes for the Na’vi, which became references for their digital counterparts. My work included hand finishing, textile construction, prototyping and the intricate fabrication of costume pieces for characters including Kiri, Neytiri, Tsireya and Ronal, contributing to the rich material language and culture of the Na’vi.
