Amazon Prime’s Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
As Hand Finisher Team Lead on The Rings of Power, I led a team of up to ten embroiderers, creating sampling, prototypes, hero and repeat garments across the world of Middle-earth. Working closely with the workroom supervisor, I developed and oversaw embroidery, beading and hand finishes that ranged from the ethereal refinement of the Elves and rich, chunky detailing of the Dwarves to the rustic simplicity of Humans and organic, primitive textures of the Harfoots. The role combined detailed making with team leadership—allocating work to individual strengths, maintaining quality and supporting a healthy, collaborative workroom under constant production deadlines.

I also coordinated the build of the background and stunt Orc costumes, working with Costume Designer Kate Hawley and a small team of technicians to establish the look of the creature race. Working within significant time, material and movement constraints, we developed an earthy, heavily broken-down aesthetic with grotesque textures, using a modular approach that allowed as many as 50 individual Orc looks to be composed during fittings. I coordinated closely with the extras dressing and stunt teams throughout the process, helping ensure their practical requirements were met and the costumes transitioned smoothly onto set for the beginning of Orc filming..
